Saving Grace Movie 2010

The 300 historical: the Spartans who fled

A text much longer range. In the comic, is Dilios , the storyteller, which is sent by Leonidas off the last push forward so that by all Hellas the history of Spartan glory. And so does Dilios , encouraging them in the battles of Salamis and Platea.

But what really left the Thermopylae was a different spartan and the rejection she suffered fits better with what we know in this town for comics:

"Indeed, they say, two the three hundred Spartans, and Éurito Aristodemo , Could - if they both had agreed position - have been saved, back together Sparta (they had been authorized by Leonid to leave the camp and were in Alpena suffering from a serious eye condition), or well - if you do not want to return to their homeland - have died with their comrades. These two men, again, could have taken one or other determination, but not matched to reach an agreement, nay, his decision was rather different: while Éurito , to learn the maneuver envelope of the Persians, called their weapons, put them and ordered his helots take him to the battlefield (when he had driven there, their guide went on the run, but he threw himself into the fray, lost her life), Aristodemo , meanwhile, have chickened out and stayed where was.

Well, if Aristodemo had returned to Sparta for having had the disease himself, or if they had returned the two together, I am of the opinion that the Spartans would not have expressed indignation toward them. But the fact is that, as one of them died and the other, despite being in the same situation, did not want to lose my life, the Spartans had no choice but to irritate Aristodemo lot with .

Some
ultimately claim that well - wielding the pretext - was as Aristodemo escaped, returning to Sparta . Others, however, claim that he was commissioned to deliver a message outside the camp and had the opportunity to take part in the battle, but he would not, but to be entertained on the way to preserve life, while its mate mission arrived in time for the battle and was killed.

On his return to Lacedaemon , Aristodemo suffered the disgrace and humiliation. Samples of discrimination he endured were: Spartan gave no fire or spoke to him, and signs of contempt were that he was nicknamed Aristodemo "the aspen." However, in the battle of Platea completely repaired the fault which was charged.
