Plot:

After having a strange nightmare, Madoka Kaname, a 14 year old girl finds a magical creature called Kyubey. A Madoka and Sayaka Miki, her friend offered the opportunity to gain magical powers if they agree to make a contract with him. Kyubey offers wish fulfillment, but instead must risk their lives to fight witches. Creatures, born of curses, are responsible for many murders and suicides.

Personal opinion: Despite having few chapters, is a highly recommended anime to watch. As seen, it appears that targets the shojo genre in general (as it is about "Magical Girls"), but instead is directed toward all genres, and that is many different aspects and issues (from the second chapter we see the emergence of a more dark and complex themes, topics such as appreciating the gore in later chapters ...).
