Siddartha: Steranko portals



In 2004 publishers Recerca and Non Stop! Comics went on sale the first two installments of a collection of three numbers called Siddartha : Steranko portals. The script was responsible David Carbajal, while the drawing was done by Jaime Calderon (López Espí student ).

The plot focuses on a hired murderer named Sean Tiery (also known as Siddartha "As the founder Buddhism) who is hired by the scientist Ron Rimax to find a book written by one Steranko. In this healing methods are described with which Rimax could save your life. On the way Siddhartha found his own brother, Angel , an escapist called Malik Gideon, and a band of thugs that honors the heroes of action 80.

Argument winks and references to real Jim Steranko, although "Steranko " of this comic is a mysterious writer of many professions (escapist, creative, thief ...) other than we know.

The series was left unfinished in its second issue (of three). Each issue contained 40 pages in color, with a long history and a short main set in the youth of the protagonist. The circulation was 2000 copies and each number cost € 4.50.

Jaime Calderon currently working on albums du Seigneur Les Voies for the French market (I think quite successfully) while David Carbajal seems to have stayed away from the comics since he wrote a fanzine called "Gothic Lands" and "Once Upon a Time " of Non Stop! Comics. From what I see, the two are, or have been key members of the AACE .
