some time ago, our friend Carlos, who reside in Chile, I wondered how to digitize their records, little by little it was doing enough and a few weeks ago we shared their work.
It's the soundtrack of a movie that I did not see or even know of its existence, so I listen with curiosity, great was my surprise, as the performances are great and unknown to me, but the quality digitization is a clear sign that vinyl is very well maintained.

Chapultepec, is a Nahuatl language word (which is spoken by the Aztecs said) literally means "hill of grasshoppers", which translated into Castilian is like mountain or hill , crickets or grasshoppers, (or tell them where you live)
But this is a music blog, so the language breviary, only to frame the name of a Mexican foxtrot, composed by Don Higinio Ruvalcaba in the 20's of last century.
Higinio recently learned that Don was not a popular composer, but composer and performer (violin) of serious music, but it seems, as often happens, he suddenly realizes that he must eat, so I wrote some pieces most popular dance music, which is proving particularly Foxtrot , was what made him famous and I guess let him live more comfortably.
I have no ties, or friendship, or family with him or his offspring, but in researching this post I found some interesting things. Higinio Ruvalcaba (Mexico, 1905-1976) composer and violinist Mexican born in Yahualica, Jalisco. At just 12 he made his debut as soloist in the Guadalajara Symphony Orchestra before joining the National Conservatory of Music, where classes and Mario Mateo English virtuoso who devoted his work for violin and piano, Gypsy Dance (1922). Years later, created the Classical Quartet Ruvalcaba with Francisco Contreras (violin), Miguel Bautista (viola) and Luis Galindo (cello), and replaces Jeno Lener Quartet as first violinist of the same name. Married to pianist Carmela Castillo, served as soloist with the major orchestras in Mexico, led by the most prestigious conductors in the world, Antal Dorati, Georg Solti, Abel Eisenberg, Sergiu Celebidache, Jose Ives Limantour, and Carlos Chavez. As a composer, wrote 22 string quartets, pieces for violin and piano, a symphonic poem called The Aztecs, a concert Bass Concert Miramón called, and countless salon pieces for piano or voice and piano, which include waltzes, tangos and fox-trots. Emphasizing popular among the latter the fox-trot Chapultepec.
