The program presented music groups in Mexico is known as estudiantinas and elsewhere as tunas, rondallas or extras.
Each estudiantina representing a university in a state of the republic or of any association or something, the truth can not remember which were the rules for the competition, but the program was very well received since it was among the first in which the participants came in many parts of the country and not just the center as was the custom then.
This program arose some groups that persisted years after the program ended, this is just a sample of the type of music they played. ____
